. I had already taken off my very very very wet kilt and didn’t want to put it back on. Yes I made a fuss about winning overall points, bratty I know. But it was wet! I was very pleased with myself when I was called for 4th because I thought I was going to get 6th maybe 5th. I didn’t get any money prizes but I did get a sash and two scotch glasses (quite appropriate I guess for my age group) and the medals of course for the individual dances. I'm pleased with how I placed, but wish I had danced better and not spazzed on Saturday.
these are the links to the pictures from today:
Again up super early, watched the sunrise. I taped my foot/leg for support and it worked very well, whether it was psychological or psychical I don't care, it worked lol. All four of us started at noon after the Championship had happened. We danced the Laddie and Barracks and then watched the awards for the champs which took so long. Then I changed stages for the Title dances (which was quite confusing to me), these were the dances that would count towards us placing overall. I felt I did a nice fling and got a 3rd, my Sean Truibhas was okay but I didn’t land my leap well and I got a 5th, and my reel was … well my highcuts at the end were a disaster and I got a 7th. My group was 19-21 years, again not the oldest! And there were 16 of us. It worked out perfectly for the reel so that I didn’t have to fill in which I thought I was going to have to do but people didn’t show up. Kathryn did all the math and figured out if we needed to stay of if we could go, Amy, Sarah, and I all placed overall so we had to stay unfortunately
