So we made it....after 9 months, 50,000 miles, 31 flights, 16 long coach trips, 5 boats and 1 RV we thought New York would be a perfect place to end what has been a perfect trip.

Our drive took us through Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvannia.  In Ohio we passed through Amish country where we overtook lots of bearded people in their horse and carts (Al looked right at home with his travelling beard)!!!

Before arriving in NY we stayed in the lovely New Jersey.  We found a beautiful park there and this is where we planted a flower in memory of Nanny Green.

We booked onto our last RV site of our trip right by Manhattan.  It was a short metro ride in to all of the sights - Empire State building, Grand Central, The Rockerfeller Plaza, Chrysler Building, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Wall Street, World Trade Centre memorial, lots of shops (!) and Central Park who happened to have Duran Duran playing in concert when we arrived!  All the sights are fantastic but one of the highlights was getting tickets for Luce's favourite show on Broadway - The Phantom of the Opera.  It was an amazing show and Luce was in tears at the end (because the Phantom really loves Christine)!!!!!!

Although this was a great place to finish our trip we can't actually believe it's come to an end.  What are Dad Andy and Dad Keith going to do now with their time!!!!
