We finally found another apartment for the next day for one week which was great and are now in another fab apartment for the next 12 days and it has a kitchen! That owner has since emailed us saying he didn't understand why we needed a kitchen as we didn't look like professional chefs!!!! Cheeky sod - doesn't he know that Luce's sister has worked for Gordon Ramsey, Jamie Oliver and Nigella Lawson!
We are spendiung our time on the great Copacabana Beach - playing cards, drinking beer and people watching. Now this is the life. There are great characters oin the beach who sell everything from shrimps to spliffs! It's great here!
We are getting very excited now to see mum and dad (Dawn & Keith) for the Rio Carnival, a trip in the Amazon, Natal beaches and Salvador. We'll post more photos after that.

Passion (Killer) Motel
Pay by the hour you say, at my age I'd ask for the two minute rate!! 'Two hobs and a sink'..are you sure he didn't say 'Two cobs and a drink?' And what exactly do professional chefs look like? Well, I'll tell you. Greasy, unshaven grimy fingered disease carriers, with pulsating droplets of sweat shimmying like rabid stalactites clinging to their foreheads, eager and longing to infest and infect any available two legged host. Primary target for the sweat exocets...every dish they've just lovingly placed beneath their glistening chins.
I recall a much younger me, post Top Rank, Saturday night (Sunday morning),breath bated-as are their mousetraps-bursting through the doors of Le Projectile Vomit (South side, Caroline Street)one step from oblivion. 'Waiter, bring me a crocodile sandwich and make it snappy'.Oooh, tasty. Yet, next day, same highway in the cold clammy reality of the day, I saw said hostelry for the grease ridden abattoir it truly was. What we thought were net curtains were in reality, long dead, fossilised locusts, their skeletons now permanently etched into the glass. The shag pile carpet in the toilets turned out to be a foot thick fecal overflow from the Victorian portaloo and the sous chef resembled something that had been found in an archaelogical dig.
But I digress, sorry you've had a slightly dispiritting experience, but things seem to be on an upward spiral in Copacabana. I'm interested in the shrimp and spliff beach bums...tell me more.
Photos look great,ditto you both. All's fine here, just spoken to Becky at the airport awaiting the call for her India flight.
Two men look out from the same bars....one sees the mud, the other the stars.Keep the stories coming.

Which as you will know by now is the name for the locals in RIO !! I have to say that your travelbloggs are like Cardiffs busses....... you dont see any for a while then you get 3 in minute !! Hello.. just got back from the hospital and they gave me a clean bill of health to fly !! Me variuos veins are not that bad ... well not as bad as Lucky Luces were anyway .Just got to get some dental work done tomorrow and then in a couple of days we are outa here !!!! Does Lucy want a smaller bikini than the one on Rio beach as they sell whats known as dentille flis in Rio apparently its a bit like a thong but more like dental floss !! The choice as they say is up to you !!Still have not found your tel. no. as yet .but we will keep looking .Only 7 days to go but hell no ones counting .. not arf !!

Hello chap & chapette, you have found another paradise after a bit of a nightmare, does it make you appreciate the nice beach more? 'What do you need a kitchen for?' What a stupid question! But then again why do you need a kitchen if they sell everything on the beach? You don't need an apartment either do you, just stay at the beach 24/7! Nice! Looking tanned the pair of you, what you really need though is for someone like me to stand next to you, that would make it look even better. If there's thongs on the go mr payne please decline or if you have to don't put any photos on your blog, I don't want to tear my own eyes out!! Ho ho ho! Love as always Ja x
The Major today The Rio Tomorrow !!
Hello my fellow bloggers.. well here it is my last blog for 3 weeks . Thank God I hear your say ! I would like to thank my fellow bloggers UK side for sending us money so that we can find Lucy and Al who have been missing for the last 6 months as the travelbloggs have been in short supply and I would think that for the next 3 weeks nobody will be getting any ! (Carnival & Amazon etc etc etc ) So to Lorraine & Andy and the rest of the usual suspects I say ' we will find them for you ' not sure if they want to come back yet ? So Lu/Al see thursday 1900 Inshallah . Make sure coffee and milk are in great supply in the Taj Mahal apartment block !! (better get some beer in as well !! ) Got to go to the hotel in Heathrow now .. so as they say ' one small step in Llantwit .. bloody big ones down in Rio !!xx Dad

I hope you don't mind but Ja gave me your travel pod details at Christmas, but I've only just got round to taking a look. All I can say is WOOOOOOW, you look like your have an amazing time!!!!
