Karlstejn Castle is probably the most famous and most visited castles in Prague. The castle is only about 20 km South-West of Prague and is situated on a cliff overlooking the city. The castle looks awesome from the outside. It is really a great site to see. The interior however is disappointing. There were a couple painting a portable altar and a couple pieces of furniture you could see - that pretty much sums it up.
The rest of the town was a total tourist trap filled with numerous souvenir stands and restaurants yet it still had beauty. There used to be a creek that ran through the town so most of the houses had to be reached by small bridges. All together it was a good trip, but I definitely would not go back again. Once was enough.
