Argentina :
Leaving Santiago northwest into the Andes. The uphill part on the chile side is very steep and my car
was working hard.
The Borderentry into Argentina was (as usual) easy and friendly, though a long queue was there and it took 2 hours to pass.
Besides the usual tourist car permit you have to buy a car insurance that cost 1$ per day you stay.
At least a country that sells car insurance.
On the Argentinian side after 15km there is a viewpoint to see americas highest mountain.
"Acongagua" has almost 7000 meters.
Nearby laguna looks really green contrasted by the grey mountains.
Further down the road there is a natural bridge "puente del inca" . Probably a bridge used by the inkas.?
Then you drive down a real beautiful valley for 100km and reach the town of uphalla.
From there its another 100km to Mendozza, the wine capital of Argentina.
Did i mention, that i like good wine??? well i do.
