Continueing on from Trujillo south i passed Chimbote. This town has a distinct "fishi" smell
probably because of a tuna fish factory.

From Pativilca i turned of towards Huarez up in the mountains. Its a pretty steep ride.
Huarez is the town if you want to do hiking. You can see to "white cordilleres", perus highest peaks.
Some nice Highlands and villages are along the way.

Back on the PanAm i headed towards Lima.  Driving through , i had some views on hills
covered with these typical small brick-houses. The skyline did not impress me.

South of Lima you find some of perus finest beaches. All the 80 km south of Lima are good Beaches.

I spend a night in Pisco. 2 month ago an earthquake shook the town, being the epicenter.
2/3 of the houses where distroyed and you can see a lot of "gravel" laying around.

Further south you get to Nasca.

Just before the city (to the north) you see a tower on the roadside. Its the lookout
for the well known Nasca Lines, which may have been created by some outer space
creatures. "Lineas de Nasca".
From the tower you can barely see 2 figures. Best views are from a plane.
