Today was the Star-Spotting day and I didn't spot one! Sorry!

I took a tour of Hollywood and the celebrity homes or rather their gates. We started at the Kodac theatre which hosts the Oscars. I walked down those very same steps but the red carpet wasn't there and I was the only one taking pictures. We went onto Hollywood Boulevard and I was able to check out some more stars.

Then it was off to see some houses. I was very conscientious and took notes of what I saw. I have included them in the titles and captions of the photos.

Finally I got to see the Hollywood sign. It was very far away but there it was. Then we drove down Mulholland drive. We hit Beverly hills, Holmby Hills and Bellair on our tour of the homes. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are in town because the American flag was flying but not at home supposedly due to the lack of paparazzi out front.

The Spelling mansion was a sight - what litle that could be seen. It is on sale for $150 million so for all you home buyers there is something to think about.

We travelled down Sunset Boulevard until the traffic ground to a halt and then toured some of the back streets. Lunch was at the Farmers Market before we went to Universal Studios.

This was fascinating. They were filming Desparate Housewives and we drove past the end of Wisteria Lane, but no stars to be seen.

It is incredible what they do there and a wonderful afternoon. Check out the photos.

This is my last night in Los Angeles, onto San Francisco tomorrow. Despite LA's "poor" public transport system I had a wonderful time and saw a fair amount.
Maybe next time I will bump into a Star!

Good Night
