We stayed at the same park we stayed at 6mths ago, half the park is now being built for all the mine workers. The pool was so refreshing had it all to ourselves. As we had already been to Cloncurry we had a Little relaxing time, but Al did catch up with Archery at Mt Isa.We decided to leave the van as we were waiting on new tyres,so we packed the car ready to sleep the night at Mt Isa.We had to be there for the club shoot by 8.30am,we were running late as all the roads were closed due to being flooded.Al had a good shoot for the day and after that it followed with Christmas drinks, raffles and a lot of stories and laughs. Thanks Bowhunters Mt Isa for making us feel so welcome again you are all great. We decided to cross the river area to put the car in the club grounds,we had a feeling it might rain but we took the chance.

After a comfortable but hot night in the car(all 4 of us),we were shocked to see how much the river had risen. We had to wait about 3 hrs before we could attempt to cross it,lucky the care taker Andy drove through first to push some water away, thanks Andy.Yes the territory made it with water coming up over the bonnet, whoops but everything was okay and we headed back to Cloncurry.
We had 2 new tyres put on the van,our spare tyre was 12years old(not good),all good now and heading for Winton.Keep you all up dated.
