We arrived in Karumba Wednesday 15th June and we are here for a week, nice place.Caravan parks are full and it is not even school holidays yet,we went fishing and after a few hours eventually caught some bream all on Cath's rod (thanks Andy), we cooked the three up that night and enjoyed every little bit mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Fish Finally.

We went to the Barramundi Hatchery and Al got to be boofed by a Barra(boofed is when you feed them and when they take the bait they make a boof noise and most people scream),its funny to watch,it was very informative.
You can by Barramundi here for about $6.00 per kilo and cooked prawns $15.00 per kilo, we will have some prawns one night.
We are off fishing this morning see if Al can catch us dinner and than in the afternoon off to a school fate, its a hard life.
Al is so relaxed it is funny and his blood pressure is the lowest its been for years.
Saturday Al caught is first bream,he caught two and so did Cath we are having fish again for dinner,
We fished for 3 hrs in the morning very windy but worth it, in the afternoon we went to the local primary school as they had a fete on,all the shops closed for the fete it was a big event for a small Town.
They have markets on today(Sunday) so we will go see what they are like.
Will keep you updated.
Well failed to win anything at the fete... bugger will have to buy that fry pan after all.
Bream fish count is Cath - 8, Al - 2. Stick to archery Al !!!.
Went on a sunset cruise last night and enjoyed the sights of the river and floated out at the mouth of the river and enjoyed a couple of wines and some prawns while waiting for the sunset over the gulf.
No Crocs sighted, which possibly isn't such a bad thing as Shandis not too quick on her feet - well neither are we I guess.
Time has come to farewell Karumba and head back inland. Its been a pleasant break by the sea and there is plenty of fish in the fridge to enjoy over the next week.
