We arrived to our relentless host Magdi's home, early Friday evening after Glenda driving three and a half hours from Graham in the US to Steveston, Richmond, Vancouver. Even though was cloudy and raining most of the way, it was picturesque  and the customs area coming into Canada, was really impressive. Never seen a border crossing sooooooo well kept. The cowboy driving, made me bounce from side to side while filming on final approach and I had to hung on for dear life. I must say that I refrain very hard from doing some form of exorcism on this crazy driver.

Shortly after arrival, we walked a short three blocks to buy some meat to B-B-Q and on the way, Magdi and Karen showed us where the filming of the TV series "Once Upon a Time" takes place only a block away from their home. Here is a trailer link of these series. If if doesn't work when clicking, copy and paste it on the address bar of your browser.

Also many takes for the new film Godzilla coming out in 2014 is being filmed here. The three links below show some of them...

Steveston is the number one attraction in Richmond, and fourth in the overall beauty of Vancouver.

There is a peer here and right off the fishing boats, salmon, trout and sturgeon can be bought, among plenty of other sea foods. At one point, there were 520 fishing boats and some 30 canneries or so in this place. No longer any of it is in existence and the area has been revamped to became a true quaint place.

For those that like to see great mammals, whale watching tours are offered. Also there is a Japanese Garden at the end of the peer and although it is little, it adds a wonderful touch to the place.

Today is Wednesday and we are going back to the USA. Unfortunately there was a custom officer shot at this border. It is now closed and alternate route has to be taken. We are heading back to the campground where the motorhome is parked and are visiting Seattle on the way there. A video we took going into Canada on Friday is uploaded here and this is the very place where the shooting took place today. More pictures and comments re. Vancouver to follow.
