Where I stayed
Cherry Hill Campground
We have spent the last two days sightseeing in Washington DC.
On Saturday we took a hop-on hop-off tour bus around town.
We saw all of the sights of this city, including the Capital, the White House and the various monuments on the Mall.
It is quite a beautiful city.
We were amazed at the level of security everywhere. We could not enter the Capital visitor centre because we had a lunch with us. There were a great number of giant concrete barriers everywhere, cleverly disguised as planters.
Yesterday we spent much of our time in museums. Admission was free. We saw the Air and Space Museum, the Museum of Natural History, and the Museum of American History.
It was very hot - over 35 degrees and humid every day. By the end of the day we were tired and ready for a swim.
