The place is now a conference centre where you can have a corporate dinner in the "Oil Baronīs Ballroom". They also do a tour around the inside of Southfork. It is considerably smaller than it looks on the telly - all done by using wide angle lenses apparently. The inside is completely different but they have made some of the rooms represent "characters personalities". Sue Ellenīs bathroom has a bottle of Gin in it etc.
They also had a museum holding such props as the actual gun used to shoot J.R. and Lucyīs wedding dress and, well, thatīs about it actually. A fun day out for all the family unless you are an 8 year old with ginger hair whoīs never seen the show and keeps asking "Why are we here?" loudly throughout the presentation by our guide. Nicola has never seen the show either but she managed to keep quiet.

Oh yes, we went to the site of the other famous shooting as well. We could even see the 6th floor of the book depository from our bedroom window.
Only a week before Nicola had asked the question "Whatīs that film called with Kevin Costner about JFK?". Itīs nice to see travelling hasnīt changed her.
