Last day in the down under and saying goodbye to the dorm got handed some Swiss travel chocs for the road.
With some time before my flight to Christchurch I headed down to Paddy's market for a browse to see if any warmer than a t-shirt bargains could be had in an attempt to prepare for the cooler kiwi climate. Finding neither any Irish or anything that would differentiate you from someone wearing a big tourist sticker on their forehead I did take a look to see if any small souvenirs were around having not really picked up much on my travels but again failing to find anything that didn't have Made in China on the back.
The Air New Zealand flight took off only a few minutes late with the in flight movie failing to hold my attention I got talking to Rebeca the girl next to me who was a Canadian student studying in Christchurch. Filling me in with some travel tips for the south island having not yet ventured to the north herself we chatted most of the way through some really rough turbulence as Rebeca tried her best to scribble down her email giving away the past traveler in her with the Canadian - met on plane note next to it
Landing in New Zealand I got a lift into town with Rebecca's friend which was even more appreciated at this hour of the night being a great start to one of the most anticipated countries on my travel hit list.
