I know I previously said how people tended to pass through Adelaide rather than stay which was a shame but in some ways I can see why given another full day to fill here finding it hard to do so with sights generally thin on the ground. Don't get me wrong I still really like this city, I'm sure it would be a great place to live but is does go into that category of places like Shanghai with it in the end not having that much to do even with it's pleasant atmosphere.

One thing I did try and do was get on the Haighs chocolate factory tour which I didn't know you had to pre-book before turning up so had to make do with wandering their little shop with the smell of fresh chocolate almost breaking my resistance to buy a chocolate gift basket which would surely see you put on as much weight as it weighed which was a heck of alot.

Taking a walk around the city with its many parks I went to the Central Market with its cheap fruit and veg realizing just how few things there really were to do here when that could almost be the highlight of the day.

With Australia defeating (understatement) England at the Ashes the returning Aussie and English fans staying in the hostel at least made for plenty of entertaining banter although they did go straight into watching the highlights of the game they'd just returned from. Never understood cricket or those that watch it, it seems.
