Waking feeling a little err, 'tender' this morning not even been woken by the guys leaving at 5am for their bus south. I lay the blame on the Germans who invited me over for a few drinks and to join them in some drinking games to thank me for switching. My head wished they weren't so friendly this morning.
Managing to make it till the 3pm meeting, again, with the group this time around consisting of myself and only one other guy plus 9 girls. So we were off to a good start.
So doing the rounds we have Andy, Jamie, Jill, Jo, Keira, Stephanie, Caroline Carolla, Avia, Anameica and muggins here.
They all seemed a good bunch as we got down to the shopping list with 3 of us having to go and zip around the supermarket with me somehow being roped into it despite the overwhelming majority of girls in the group (gonna burn for that one).
Along with Jill and Jo, both from England, we were already competing with the other team as to who could buy the most for the least yet both having difficulty buying enough food for 3 days for 10 other people you had only just met.
Being fellow travelers though a few staple foods were assured to be accepted as we loaded the trolley with pasta, peanut butter, nachos + dips and then splurging on steak for the first night. With the bill adding up at the checkout some things were tossed over board trying to keep the cost down as we managed to come in only $14 over budget, a snip among 11 people.
Coming away with enough food to feed 1100 never mind 11 we knew we weren't gonna go hungry over there although I still felt the pain of being talked into putting the sausages back in favour of some jam. Would never have had that problem with the Germans.
