And the cow is alright!

Continued trying to teach some tongue twisters today with some of the younger classes which turned into a complete mauling of the language but they still had fun though which is the main thing.

Some commotion outside the library saw a crowd standing round a huge lizard which had wandered onto the grounds with them afraid to go near it despite me seeing so many in the country and being told they were harmless. Peekhai, despite being 5 foot nothing, then got a large stick and whacked it away half way across the garden which I'm not sure what I was more shocked by the fact she smacked this innocent lizard or that she has a batting arm like Babe Ruth!

My problems with animals still weren't over for today as I tried to learn the Thai for some more animals with them again reusing the same word pronounced only slightly differently such as maa for both horse and dog even though they have a polite word for dog also which is not too surprising given the number of them wandering free everywhere.

Had another brief scare in the evening when coming face to face with a huge spider in my room which would be ok until you turn around and it is suddenly gone with no clue as to its whereabouts or more importantly, it's intentions.
