They either have too much faith in me or a lack of teachers as I had to take on two classes alone again today, guessing it is the latter though.
The 1st class was alright with me falling back on good'ol hangman to fill in the last few minutes but the 2nd class was really an exercise in patience with me writing questions on the board and them repeating them after me without ever actually answering the question despite them saying they understood me when I asked them.
Making it to lunch time and in need of a re-charge I was smiling down at a bowl of fried crickets. Sure they have a lot of protein I agreed with one of the other teachers but so do brussel sprouts and ain't no one gonna get me to eat them either. I did relent and try one in the end though seeing as I'm out to try new things on this journey, only one though. Crunchy.
With me for some reason agreeing to teach an extra class with Watchara in the afternoon in what can only be described as an oven with a small classroom with a tin roof, and only two tiny fans high above trying to cool down over 50 cramped baking bodies. Just I was beginning to question the sanity of volunteering to suffer in this a herd of buffalo wandered past the windows as Watchara too gave in and we spent the rest of the class sitting outside under the shade of some trees as I soon remember why I volunteered again.
I love Thailand.
