With the bus to Saigon not leaving until the afternoon I had some time to kill and with the great sunny weather and a beautiful beach right on my door step I spent the morning cooped up in an a sweltering Internet Café writing emails and updating travelpod - see what I do for you guys!

The bus was one of the more comfortable one I've so far had the pleasure of travelling on in Vietnam although for some reason the conductor was insistent everyone sits as far forward as possible. What this meant was that every time someone got off everyone further back in the bus was made to shuffle forward to fill in the empty seats so people were having to sit cramped next to each other with the back half of the bus empty by the time we reached Saigon.

In a city of 9 million people there are 3 million motorbikes which make the hectic streets of Hanoi seem like a bunch of Sunday drivers by comparison.

Not having decided where I would crash while in Saigon I took a gamble and followed one of the many folks surrounding the bus as it stopped with the woman leading me down the narrowest alley/street known to man to a house with more steps to reach the room on the top floor than should surely ever be possible to fit in such a small building. The room although clean and bright had no TV (World Cup remember) so the woman quickly led me further up the street to another house with even more steps to the room but this time with cable TV and en-suite bathroom for only $5 a night, a bargain in Saigon.

Heading out for some grub the higher expensive of Saigon became apparent with the cheap food of the north being not so easily trackable downable.

Catching the England game over dinner I then went for a wander to be accosted into a bar by a trio of sexy Vietnamese girls (they had really short skirts, what could I do?) for a few drinks with them and 2 other guys who had fallen victim to their siren like talent.
