I landed in Auckland about 11am NZ time, and got the bus straight into town, which luckily dropped me off right outside the hostel. I'd booked a twin room (normally would be a dorm, but I wanted to catch up on sleep), so bought some warm clothes and went to bed for a few hours. Phil arrived on a later flight and Fiona shortly after him, so we all met up and went out for a meal to discuss plans. Phil and are were set to do the Kiwi Experience bus, which takes you around both islands, and sorts all accommodation etc, and gives plenty of activities and days out. Fiona had decided that shewouldn't do the full tour as she was running short of money, so we may meet her at some points along the way, but she wouldn't be on our bus.
Another fairly early night as the bus tour set off at 8:30, and didn't want to give them a bad impression of us, they could learn the truth later.
