Bought tickets for the 9am bus and got on and set off, no hassle today. Stopped at a services bought 3 curry puffs and a hotdog stick. Curry puffs are class, little cornish pasty things with curried potato in them. Watched the end of Mr Ripley, played some car game app, listened to Adam & Joe and slept.

Arrived at about 3 or 4 I forget which. Got a taxi to the hostel which for once we hadn't booked but we'd made a note of one we wanted anyway, and considering this part of the world seems to be completely bereft of travellers I didn't envisage any trouble getting a room. I was right, we got a twin room for about 16 which isn't great but it's a nice new building and the woman is very helpful. She sorts out our trip to the niah caves tomorrow for us - a man will pick us up and drive us there as there are no buses. As we checked in I noticed in the book there was a guy from Accrington here, the woman asked if we were Welsh. Welsh? Between the two of us we have had people guess we are the following:

Australian
American
Scousers
Welsh
Israeli

Haha, Charlotte has been mistaken for an Israeli twice, absolutely gutted, almost as bad as being a scouser. Israeli's aren't allowed into Malaysia, would have been class if she had been refused entry on the grounds of trying to sneak in with a fake British passport.

Got some laundry done which I was in absolute desperate need of, I was down to wearing Charlottes version of the free t-shirt we got in Langkawi. Went to a nearby shopping centre and bought some necessary items. Came back and had a shower in the actuallynotsobad shared showers and then had a wander down the main street to choose somewhere for food. We chose to eat next door to the hostel in the end in a rather classy in/outdoor restaurant. The main street was actually quite nice with some nice bars and things but it was a bit more expensive and quiet so we didn't see the point. Had mushroom soup again and then some dish called Beef Hong Kong Thiem noodles, it was decent sort of like beef with noodles and gravy. Went back to the room early start for the Niah Caves.
