Day 19 - A trip around the island with the Nok's

After breakfast Deb went with Lee from the villa to go and fetch the Noks (Thai for bird) (Jan and Colin or Nok Nok) from the ferry and when they got back everyone had a swim and then a whole bunch of friends left today so all the goodbyes started which was very sad. Bron and Colin left their hotel and moved into the villa with us so we are now all together. Shaun and Jess spent the day on the scooters checking out the island and only got back quite late.
In the afternoon we borrowed the car from the villa and took Deanne and Colleen to the ferry to go home which was very sad. We then kept going and drove into Haad Rin to have a look where the beach party takes place and walked around the town a bit, a rabbit warren of little streets and alternative shops as well as the normal touristy stuff. After that we made our way through the jungle and over the mountains on very bad roads that only a 4 x 4 could manage and went to find Mike and Sue at Mai Pen Rai on Sadet Beach which is on the most gorgeous bay. We ended up having cocktails with them and dinner on their beach which was great, and got back to the villa after 10.
