Okay, you KNOW I've had a great time, when I completely forget that I DON'T live here, and I neglect to remember that I own a camera and should be capturing people and moments on SD card. Went for an awesome feast thanks to Tracey and JoJo in PioPio, and LOTS of laughs meeting Shenan's... well, soon to be MY new family! What welcoming and wonderful people, had a great night! Except of course for the part where they all put me on the spot to make me sing songs I didn't even know. LOL Naw it was great, had a lot of laughs. And I had a shadow following me around for most of the night and following morning. Ruby.... oh Ruby.... cute as a button, but WOW. That girl has no 'pause' button. It's go go go go all the time! LOL! BTW, Kiwi accent on kids is the cutest thing ever. "UHNTEEE UMBAH!"
So yeah. Right now, there's not much to report because we're taking it easy considering that I leave this week, which we're trying to forget. We're back in New Plymouth, and had a very quiet night of tacos, popcorn and Across The Universe and Outrageous Fortune. (By the way Canada, you need to watch this series. It's hilarious.).
So although our original plan was to head to Waitomo Caves this morning, we decided to skip it, sleep in and just have a relaxing day in New Plymouth so that we weren't rushing ourselves to Auckland. We'll be heading there tomorrow. Also, forgive me if my updates become a bit lazy, as I will be busy filling my word hole with as many yummy treats as I can before I leave.
Oh, and I guess there was a tornado about 10 minutes away from New Plymouth on Friday. It was a wicked-cool electrical storm for us, not so wicked for Oakura. The rain in the last few days has been beautiful. I love rain! 71 mm in two days, wicked.....
