Yesterday, we awoke and headed off to the shops to grab some little bits and pieces of things for me to bring back to Canada. And then we were off to Urenui beach to meet Nutta and Huria..... (AGAIN, Have I mentioned how wicked-awesome the people are around here? BECAUSE THEY ARE!). We stopped and had some Urenui Fish and Chips... THANKS FOR THE SUGGESTION NICOLE! They were delicious. But whatever caviar patty that was deepfried did NOT exactly make my mouth say "that's delicious". It more said, "Please get that hashbrown of slime-bead yuck away from my general vicinity please." However, Huria assured me that the creamy version is better.... We'll see about that, Paua :-)

We spend a long time actually at Urenui beach, the sun was out, it was beautiful out, and of course we had great company. The beaches around here are incredibly neat because the sand is black, because of all of the iron in it. But it's not dirty, it's just... black sand. VERY cool. However, it IS dirty when Shenan takes you to another beach down the way, and throws you in. Do you know what a bikini of black sand looks like? Not pleasant. It looks like you have a disease. And the water was about -20 so it was BLOODY COLD. But it was fun! Now I can say I swam in the Tasman Sea. Chopz got in there too of course. I think he's still on a retrieval mission for his testicles from his body.

Followed the evening up with dinner with Rebecca and Batsey, which was delicious! (the food, not Rebecca and Batsey. I mean, they're wicked-great company, but they are not delicious as far as I am aware). The food is so different from home, but it is incredibly good! Great evening!! And then when we got home, ended up Lost was on.... and as it turns out, it was the next one after the one I had already seen (they're about 2 weeks behind our programming), so I got to see the 'new' episode to me..... OH LOST. Chopz got his first dose of Amber on Lost Night. I don't respond to questions. I just sit, awe, raise my eyebrows, hide under the blanket, swear a lot at the TV and the characters, and pull faces that makes him laugh. Apparently, Amber on Lost Night is a spectator sport. This is why I usually watch it by myself, in my basement with all the lights and forms of communication off. Stupid Lost, and it's mind games, and it's twists, and it's tear inducing, and it's makeout parties....

Slept in a bit this morning, to a lazy morning of laundry and such necessary things. Shenan just ran away to get me an Anderson's Pie to toss in my word hole. I am SO in love!!! A man who runs out to get a meat pie to stuff in my mouth? What more could any girl ask for? :-D And if you're all thinking that I'm too easy to please....... I am not, I.... wait... is this why people dangle their keys in front of me and I giggle?? Shit. Whatever. You're all just jealous that my belly is gonna be full of a jubilee of steak, cheese and pastry. :-P
