first day; we had to catch a bus from shinjuku to hakuba which took us 4.5 hrs to get there. when we arrived at hakuba we've arranged a pick up from the hotel that we will be staying for the next 5 days. (hotel phoenix wing) we were greeted by a nice young guy at the happo bus information centre from the hotel. we were surprised that the guy who greeted us is also from australia as well. anyway, we've booked a room for 2 adult for 4 nights without meals. when we arrievd at the hotel it was around 430 in the afternoon. we were surprised about the room at hotel phoenix wing. the room was so big and kitchen facility was included. however, we couldnt be bothered to get take out so we've deceided to eat in at the hotel's restaurant. so we've order the 'shinsyuwagyuu youganyaki' which means the ' shinshu wagyu beef grillled by lava stone'. the meal was great and statified.
