Finally at long long last our usernames and passwords at the University are working! There is limited lab space available on campus, but luckily our classroom is located very close to one of the labs that isn't as well known so we shouldn't have too much of a problem with access. These computers are also compatible with my digital camera so I'll post some of the better photos I've taken so far.

Classes are going well here. Our lecturer for the past three days has been Paul Geraghty, a linguist who specializes in Pacific languages. He's an absolutely brilliant man and I've really enjoyed the past few classes. He took us to the museum yesterday afternoon and it was great to have someone knowledgable interpret and explain the exhibits. The things in the museum were much more interesting with a narrator!

Tomorrow evening we're attending a masters class at the University about Pacific culture. We're all a bit taken aback by the amount of reading we have to do for it (especially since we only just found out about it yesterday). We're not enrolled in the class and aren't getting credit for it, so it's been kind of hard for all us to whip up some enthusiasm for it. I'm sure it will be really interesting, but I'm going to have to spend the rest of the night reading.

It's been raining all day here, which is typical Suva weather. The past few days it's only rained for a few hours off and on, but today it hasn't let up at all. As soon as I got to campus this morning I bought an umbrella! March is the rainiest time of year, so we've got a lot to look forward to. :) But at least it's not snowing!
