When you use miles for an award ticket, it is extremely difficult to get four seats together on a flight to/from boise. All Boise flights on Delta go through SLC, so this is where our day had to end, with a 1-hour flight remaining the following morning. We got a hotel room in SLC, and though we ended up waiting well over an hour for the airport shuttle, it was nice to hit the pillow on American soil.

We finally got to sleep at midnight, and were up at 5am for the remaining flight to Boise.
