What the hell is that, I have no goddamn idea, I've heard it around for the last week, that’s the most god awful scream I have ever heard, shit its right out in the stairwell, what should I do, crap, I go to the bottom of the stairs and clap my hands, stops for a moment then carries on wailing, shit, I don’t want to get my balls clawed off by a freaking Ocelot or something, go back to bed and hope the thing leaves, that is what I do. Sound stops, I’m awake now, might as well write about the day.
Just when you think things could not get any better they do. Bev has asked us if we would like to go to a water park out side of Bucereas today, and I thinking of a thousand kids, and everything else associated, am a little hesitant, and even complain that it is a wee bit cloudy and perhaps we should wait for a sunnier day to do so, swallow my hesitancy and have myself ready for 1030, hop in the car and off we go.

I write this down, and enter the link as if you visit the area it is one place where you should go. Nestled in the foothills, east of Boucereas, turn at the second signal lights where you see the Tobogan sign on the side of a bodega. It is this gem of a spot, that at one time was a family ranch, but a few years back was turned into an oasis of sorts that includes 3 large pools, a small water slide, a number of polapas, a few out buildings, and a wonderful restaurant built on to the side of a mountain, with a full view of Banderas Bay and all of the towns and cities surrounding it. It is a great one day adventure into the foothills of the mountains.
We arrive into a small parking lot that could not hold more than a dozen cars, where the crowds would park I have no idea, and are met by an attendant who would like to know if we are visiting the restaurante or the pool. Bev tells him the pool and he directs us down the path and says that someone is waiting for us. It is Francisco, our host for the day, who welcomes us with our tickets, 50 pesos each for the day, and goes and cleans off a table and 4 chairs for us under polapa number 11. We order a couple of mixed drinks and a bucket of ice with 3 Pacificos, for 120p and settle down for the day. The water is beautiful, and the grounds are impeccable.
Now we have with us Puppy with no name, and she is having a ball running all over the grass, probably the biggest taste of freedom she has ever had, and entertaining us with her antics. Until along comes a mother dog, who at first seems to be offering puppy her teats for a meal, but then turns on her when she has found and starts to eat puppies food, and the puppy tries to get it back. She takes a big chomp on puppy, I would have never expected it, but probably the dogs are underfed, and there are around 4 of them here, along with the new litter. I get out of the pool, while the girls are grabbing puppy, and get a cold glass of water from the bucket and give it to the bitch and scare her the hell away. Now puppy has a ½ inch cut on her nose, luckily just under her eye, and is yelping like a stuck pig. The girls settle her down and we take a look, and although not nice is not that bad and the little thing is wiggling to get free and soon is running around in her glory again.
We sit around the park, with a beautiful breeze blowing across, with a young Mexican family with 2 kids, who offer me some of their cerveche as I walk by, this is the way it is, to which I politely decline. Around 2 we head up the hill to the restaurante.
It is a lovely place with a staff of 4 senoritas and a Niño around 4, who is infatuated with puppy and Beverlie. The girls order a plate of 3 tacos each, beef, pork and chicken, and I order Chilies Soranus (not the write spelling, but what one should expect) turns out to be wonderful in every way. The chili is a large hot yellow one, with a green sweet chili inside, stuffed with this wonderful cheese they make daily on site, steamed in a lovely tomato sauce and served with rice and beans. Just heaven to the palate. La Puente for this is 300p, including a Pacifico and 2 Pino Coladas.
We return to the pool for an hour and head back to the casita.
Its all good.
