Ok so that wasn't it for France.
I have free internet at the campsite I'm staying at tonight and I wanted to share with you all that I reached 10,000kms today, so I'll write a short blog and post some photos.
The 10,000km moment was bitter sweet.
I'm using a wireless bike computer and sometimes it likes to run with signals other than that from the little magnet on my wheel. Traffic lights and halogen lights make my computer think I'm riding at speeds of 99.9km/hr, so I didn't know the exact moment that I reached 10,000 as I had to calculate it approximately from my daily records. And I couldn't take a picture of my computer to prove it, so I spent some time and some ink lastnight to make myself a fancy celebration sign.
But to the best of my estimation, I reached it in a little pretty town called Ste Marie la Mer. The town name made me think of Marie Kensier, so I dedicate my 10,000km accomplishment to her and her lovely heart for the strength she passed on to me with her smile.
Then there was a pool of emotions that ran over me from happy and strong to sad and lonely. And I learned today that I am ok with travelling alone but when it comes to celebrating a happy moment I crave friends and family to share my joy with. So here I am, sharing it with all of you :) Thank you for reading...
