. By the time we make it through the 12 showcased countries at EPCOT, it's almost dinner time and we leave EPCOT and head for Downtown disney, which is famous for it's themed restaurants and is a popular night spot. Zinije and I hope the crowds will be less as it's a Sunday night, but they weren't and as we had no reservations, waiting times were over an hour. We manage to get some food at an Irish pub where the wait wasn't as bad and enjoy our final evening in Orlando. We head back to our resort and as the kids sleep, Zinije and I pack our bags for our next stop San Francisco, for which we have an early flight tomorrow morning. We have all really enjoyed our trip to Orlando visiting the Disney parks and even though for Zinije and I it's our second visit since 2002, coming with our kids has allowed us to enjoy their excitement and relive our memories when we first went to disney land as kids.
Today is our final day in Orlando which means it's our last day to explore the Disney parks and we let the kids choose which one they would like to see, their choice EPCOT as we didn't see it all on the first day. As it's Sunday today we're expecting the crowds to be really bad and when we get to EPCOT, the waiting times for the popular rides are over an hour and a half wait, the longest we've seen so far. We manage to see some shows with minimal wait and then decide to walk around lake EPCOT to see the countries on show case. Disney is showcasing 12 countries from around the world, with remake of building architecture, display of history, food and culture. To make it authentic, people working at these showcase countries are working as expats at disney allowing visitors to meet and learn about culture from those specific countries. As we walk around the lake, the kids have a lot of fun noticing which countries we have already visited such as Italy and China. We decide to have snacks at different countries as we walk around the lake just to mix up the flavours, from English fish and chips to Moroccan Shawarma's
