As we wake up this morning, we have a quick breakfast and head straight for Newark airport for our second attempt to fly to the Bahamas.  Once we check in and clear security, we walk towards our gate with an hour to spare and Arion looks concerned and tells me he is afraid we will miss out on our flight again because the airport looks busy and he believes the plane will be full.  I take my time to explain to him what happened yesterday was an airline error and that today we have seats and that he should not worry.    We board our plane and takeoff off for the Bahamas and we will all feel a sigh of relief as our excitement starts to build, now that we're finally on our way.  Our captain gives us some good news and informs us we will be arriving 30mins earlier than expected.  As we land in Nassau in the Bahamas, the atmosphere is relaxed as soon as we land, firstly we exit the plane on steps onto the tarmac, it's blues skys and 29 degrees and a lady tells us to walk to the corner of a building where someone will escort us to immigration.  When we get to the corner, there is no one there and there are people everywhere wondering where to go, eventually someone arrives and we make it to immigration.  At immigration there is a live band playing local music which amazes me, as normally the immigration areas are quiet and serious, not at the Bahamas.  There is a representative walking through the aisles personally greeting everyone and thanking them for choosing to visit the Bahamas.  I haven't even left the airport yet and I already feel relaxed.  We pick our bags jump into our taxi and head for Paradise Island as we will be staying at the Atlantis Resort.  The kids are begging me to go swimming, only I'm afraid by the time we get to the hotel it could be 5:30pm and I'm not sure what time the pools close.  We check in and walk into our room and wow, the views are amazing, our room is huge and fiitted with all the luxuries imaginable, we are all feeling a rush of excitement.  The kids are going crazy and are still begging me to go swimming as we missed out yesterday, I rip open the bags grab everyones bathers and promise to try.   We rush to towel hut and they tell the main slides and rides in the resort are closing in 5 mins, but the pools and beaches will be open for another hour and a half.  We grab some towels and jump into the closet pool and enjoy our first evening swimming by our hotel.   We finally leave the pool at 7pm and we're all starving, so after we shower up, we head to Mosaic restaurant which offers a buffet.  Mosaic is the only restaurant we are allowed to take the young children after 7pm, resort rules apparently.  Mosiac is no ordinary buffet though and the choice of foods and quality are fantastic, we enjoy our food in the dimley lit atmosphere and return to our room for some rest as tomorrow we will be outdoors all day.
