Having arrived in LIMA,  caught a bus the same day to Cusco - heart of the Incan Empire. Explored the city for 2

days including a horseback ride to local ruins, and visited some Spanish Colonial      Churches. After much debate about how to visit Machu Pichu - decided to hike the

Salkantay Trek , 5 days/4 nights. One of the most amazing hikes and experiences and went with a great group. Spent one last day in Cusco getting a few gifts for the family and returned to catch a flight from LIMA to return home to Washington. An amazing, incredible journey through Peru and Ecuador and a great way to finish the trip in Cusco.
