My sister, then age 10, wrote:

In the morning we had to hurry because we were being picked up at 8:30 to go to Milleacoc on Bable Thraup. On our way down to the dock we saw a bunch of dead frogs. The boat we rode in had 230 horsepower! When we arrived we couldn't find the chief so we had to walk around for a long time. We finally found an old man that we could talk to (through a translator). He gave us some fresh coconut milk which tasted very bitter.
