Departed after breakfast for Cochem. Found close pension. Dropped bags. Walked through old town. Many small streets. Vineyards terraced up hillsides. Very wonderful castel on promontory (Reichsberg). Tour interesting, but barely scratched surface of room. Interesting history.
Read and talked before dinner. Took take-away to park bench to eat. Several people passing wished us Bon Appetite.
Park area very pretty here. Oasis of flowers in grass -- not bordered by rocks or anything. Enjoyed walking along the river.
Town itself is quite quaint. Many tourists though, here to taste the regional wines.
