Road Trip to Dunedin

After meeting Apex Rentals to sort out our car, we ventured into Christchurch (with Matt opting to drive first), with our spidey senses tingling, we found somewhere to park easily, and went to the ticket booth in the mall to pick up our world cup tickets, find a place to buy a tent and sleeping bags, and hopped in the car to travel down highway 1 to Dunedin.
The guy from Apex Rentals said this was a boring drive, but to us Brits, this was unlike anything we seen, a stunning snowy mountain range far to our right, and the sea to our left for much of the journey, plus rivers and a old fashioned train track going parallel to the road, what was he talking about. Matt drove about half way, and I picked up the other half, and eventually around 6.30pm we rocked up in Dunedin. Time to pitch up the tent... in the Dark.
After many attempts at putting up the tent feeling tired, cold and hungry, the tent went up! So we then ventured into Dunedin to watch the game in a bar, and grabbed a bite to eat on the way, found a bar in the octagon (which was packed, everyone watching on screens outside. I was able to have a couple of pints as Matt drove in (result!), where the All Blacks had a unconvincing win (according to the locals) against tonga. Then left promptly afterwards to go back and freeze in our tent. Good job i can make my sleeping bag into a cocoon!! After a patchy nights sleep (bloomin noisy Australians!!) we woke up at about 8am, and after throwing our Rugby ball around ventured into Dunedin for breakfast and to an Internet cafe, as Matt needed to update his blog, so I thought I may as well update mine too!
As for the rest of the day, I may buy some stuff for the England game etc. Got a couple of ideas, but we will see :) but for now.... COME ON ENGLAND!!!!
