I will start by introducing the members of our traveling group since there are a lot of us.There is the Guerin Family - Rob, adriane, Cara, Jenna and Robbie; the Daddona Family- Joe, Carey, Madison and Emma; our cousin- Jonathan Maldonado; and the extended Guerin family/ best friends of Cara- Bailey Cummings, Molly Gamache, and Sarah Shatas.

So this trip started off with a bit of excitement but it all worked out in the end. We had a very early (6:10a.m.) flight from Bradley with a 3 hour layovers Atlanta. Rob and I (andJenna) were tired to start with as we picked Jenna up at gymnastics camp in Massachusetts at 10 pm the night before our trip began. By the time we made it home, took care of her stuff and settled down, it was well after midnight. The clock was set for 3:10- almost no point in sleeping at all! I caught about an hour but not very soundly because I was nervous I would miss the alarm. Since this is such a large group we decided to meet the Daddona's and Jonathan at the airport parking facility and then head to the airport. We arrived on time but no Daddona's. I was a bit concerned so I sent a text to Carey asking where they were. The car park places just push you along so we headed to the airport thinking we would find them there, still no Daddona's. Now I became more concerned so I texted Jonathan thinking a teenager always looks at his phone! Still no response- now it is 5 am ann the line is building at security so we need to check in. I call Carey and she answers with a sleepy voice" what time is it? ". The alarm didn't go off! I ran up to the ticket agent and explained the situation and she calmly told me that she could probably get them on the next flight and still make the connection in Atlanta. I called back the now frantic Carey and told her not to panic- she would make the second flight. It was a whirlwind and fast trip for them to the airport and they almost made it arriving 10 minutes before we took off but not enough time to clear security.

Soooo, we met up in Atlanta. It was all good- we laughed and joked and waited at our gate. We were so busy playing cards and socializing yep that we didn't notice that there was no one else at our gate! We quickly realized that the gate had been changed and was now on the other end of the terminal, luckily we had enough time to spare and made it to the gate as the boarding began. That was enough excitement for one day! The rest of the travel was uneventful. We were so happy to arrive at the beautiful Boardwalk resort! We unpacked the grocery order, the kids went to the pool while Rob and I sorted out some tickets we needed to upgrade and joe and Carey scoped out dinner spots for the group.

We ended up the ESPN zone and Jenna was happy to watch the crossfit games while she dined. The food was good and we were all hungry! After dinner it was just some relaxation and rest as we were all exhausted ! A soak in the hot tubas I was done ! Rob actually met up with a former coworker for a couple of drinks.

Off to Hollywood studios tomorrow !
