Two weekends ago I went with two friends from the ICTR and two guides, Moses and Nelson, on a big fat 7-hour hike up a big hill and down the other side and then up a river bed to a waterfall. It was beautiful and glorious and here are some photos of it.
This past weekend we went on another trip with Moses and Nelson, this one just outside of town to Lake Duluti, where we rented a canoe and paddled around the lake for a while. It was great! Why don't I canoe more often? All my friends in Austin- be advised- there will be many (or at least one) canoe days on Town Lake this summer. So these are some choice photos of that adventure.
Finally, some requestied photos.

Pictures!
Hooray!!
:-D
Canoe jealousy
All the pics are great. But when I see the canoe I now really want to visit. WTF? It's not like the rest of the pics aren't gorgeous as well.
Glad you're having a good time with the adventures and at work. And I'm totally down with Lady Bird Lake excursions this summer.
Zoom
I zoomed in and saw a plastic bottle or something :-(
Green
I'm amazed by how green and jungle-like it is there. When I was in Kenya, it was so much more open and Savannah like, and it's not that far where you are now. Fabulous pictures. Have any plans to go on a Safari?
Yes to Canoe!
Will be happy to accompany you on canoe trips...although, if my tendinitis doesn't get any better, I may have to ride in the boat like a princess. If this be the case I promise to wear a large hat, perhaps with a chin bow, and to scatter flower petals in our wake....
Loving the photos and the fact that work is actually more than ok. :-)
those socks
those socks look like they've been through quite a bit and are much better for it. i can't wait to see what they look like when they get back home to America.
Re: Yes to Canoe!
Actually, now that you mention it, I believe Austin just passed an ordinance that chin bow and flower petals are required for any and all Ladybird Lake canoe outings.
Re: Re: Yes to Canoe!
As well it should be, on Ladybird Lake. Anything else would be just crass. ;-)
