I only have a short time in Tela on my way to the ferry at Perto Cortes. The place I was going to stay was full and I'm not in the mood to look around too much. The owner gives a recomendation for the place down the street and I don't argue. This is a mistake. I hear Tela is a great place to find cheap seafood so I head to the beach. After a few overpriced beach hotels I find a nice shop with a few and a good menu. The fish soup is the local specialty and I'm not going to pass it up. It is full of bones but the flavor is good. I stop at a smoothie place headed back to the Hotel. There is a car meets moped incident at low speeds and is followed by lots of yelling, truckloads of police and one very scared passenger. I think everyone is alright so I sit back and enjoy the show like watchine a spanish soap opera. The two Canadians I met on the bus watch along and it provides a little entertainment for a while. The bad hotel no good and the bed is worse than bad. I wake up with a very stiff neck and regret my decision from the night before on not looking around for another place and I definitely paid too much. Any amount was too much. Oh well, off for a day of traveling.
