So, it's been awhile. Sorry. Things have been way too crazy and I've been dealing with this stupid cold! Today in class I had this coughing fit and had to leave the room to go buy water. Ugh. Oh well, it's almost the weekend and that means sleep!

The second summer session started and I am in advanced Culture and Conversation and also in advanced Grammar. I was so scared the first day after class because some of the students talk soooo fast. Then I found out that they grew up in Mexico, or in Mexican households, so they are already fluent. It made me feel a bit better and classes are going well now. I've got a lot of reading tonight for culture and conversation though.

About a week ago, we made Mapuche headbands and I forgot to mention it. There are pictures posted in this entry with those headbands. It was probably my favorite excursion!

Two nights ago I made a stained glass nautilus shell. I am going to hang it in my window in the sorority house next year. Today I am going to make felt.

This weekend I am biking to the botanical garden where they have this canopy thing that is like a whole bunch of different ropes and walkways and climbing spots and zip lines up in the canopy of the trees. My host family has been telling me about it, how you are always in a harness and basically running around up in the trees like a monkey. At least that's what I got from what they said. Haha. I'll let ya'll know how it goes. íChao!
