time to fill in the gaps then listeners.
from luang prabang i went to vientiane, the capital of lao. but to be honest there wasnt a great deal there, so it was a couple of quiet days.
then i hopped over the border and got on the sleeper train for 12 hrs back to bangkok, basically because lao doesnt have any atm's, not a single one so i had to return to thailand to get some money!!!
i paid a bit more for first class cabin after the pain of the speedboats, and it was well worth it!!!
so a day and a half back in bangkok again to sort money and change my flights, then the next day a bus over into cambodia, on by far the worst road i had encountered since peru!
on the way i met charlie and becs, 2 posh londoners who had just started their world trip. they were only 18 so i sort of took them under my wing so spent the first few days in cambodia with the girls, teaching them a few things!
first day we went on a tour of angkor, and in particular the wonder that is angkor wat. it was an amazing place, we visited 9 different temples all from the 12th and 13th centuries.
the highlights were obviously angkor wat and ta prohm which many of you may recognize from the tomb raider film with the ever impressive angelina. unfortunately she wasnt still knocking around there.
after a very long day we were meant to climb a hill for the amazing sunset but at 5pm a huge storm came in and it was too dangerous.
