Movie night. We watched a pretty shallow movie about a guy who gets rich fixing cricket games and gets the girl of his dreams. There was really only one song and not really any dancing, so it wasn't what we expected out of a Bollywood movie. The theater was pretty big and worn-out inside. People used flashlights to find their seats and I got big a few times by some insect. Dannie and I left just after the intermission (at about 10:20 at night), and our auto-rickshaw driver was insane. He had no headlight or horn and went speeding through the dark streets as fast as the machine could go. We ran into another auto-rickshaw a few minutes into the ride and broke a metal piece off of it. After a short confrontation in which our driver played dumb and acted like it was the other guys' fault, we sped back to the hotel. That was the second time we've been in a small collision, and the fourth I witnessed. The first was on the way from Delhi when a motorcyclist tried to pass the bus on the shoulder, wiped out, shook his head, and got back on. The second was in Dehradun when a girl driving a scooter ran into the back wheel of another scooter driver and skidded her shoulder a bit on the road. We just saw it (and heard the loud sound of the scooter sliding on pavement) from an auto rickshaw. Fortunately, people don't go much faster than 25 mph on Rajpur road and she had a helmet, so she got up and back on. Third, at Yamonotri, our jeep ran into a wooden sedan parked by the road, and messed up a mirror. The driver just laughed.
