I am in awe of the blessings in my life.  Was just reading Psalm 23 and two things continue to jump out at me.

"He restores my soul." Psalm 23:3

Wow.  This one touches a very intimate place and previous hurt in my heart that I can't quite share on such a public site but He's there.  He's real, He's active, He's loving.

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Psalm 23: 6-9

I have been blessed with abundant time off.  Time for rest, time for play, time for strengthening my body and relaxing my mind.  Time to read, time to enjoy my friends and family, time to simply take the time to cook a healthy, delicious meal.

This past weekend I was blessed to enjoy the work I had at the Mile High Music Festival.  I worked with great people, transported some nice down-to-earth artists, listened to good music and even lined up some work in the next couple of weeks.

And the biggest blessing - realizing now how God was using even my weaknesses earlier this year to protect me in the long run.  It's hard to understand the whys in the midst of something that hurts so much.  And to continually remember that we are mere humans.  We are not God.  And just like my last blog, I'll continue to trust.  And remember this time when I'm smack dab in the middle of the next thing that I don't think I can bare.  I am in awe of the 'goodness and mercy' that I see in my life at this very moment and as always, I long for dwelling in His house one day.  Maybe I've shared it before but I want to list a favorite quote of mine by C.S. Lewis that has long reflected my heart.  "If we discover a desire within us that nothing in this world can satisfy, we should begin to wonder if perhaps we were created for another world."
