Where I stayed
Fergus finishes work early today and we take the train downtown to Suburban Station where we meet Jim (Dotty's husband who we already met and had dinner with in Philly). He collects us in his BMW, as arranged a few days ago in order to go to their boat in the Chesapeake Bay. We briefly visit their home before grabbing a quick bite to eat on the way.
On route to Maryland, we stop off at the largest off-license ever, its about the size of a football pitch with 22 aisles of every drink imaginable, and its all tax free.
We arrive at the Great Oak Landing, a Marina Resort on Fairlee Creek and the Chesapeake Bay. We are greeted by Fergus's cousin Dotty and her youngest son Kevin , his friend TJ and the family black labrador Java. We are given a tour of their 40ft sailboat, named Rum Runner.
After being introduced to some of their friends, Ira & Pam and Bob & Connie, its not long before we all take off to the Marina Bar. There is live entertainment, aka karaoke! Ad takes dancing instructions from Sylvia and Pam, we head back to the boats a little shaky thanks to some strong Cosmopolitans!
