We take a city tour today of Miami, which basically encompasses Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Little Havana, Miami Beach and South Beach.

We learn how 64% of the 2.5 million population of Miami speak Spanish and how the city was originally constructed on a swamp only 108 years ago. In Coral Gables, where its an exclusive area the yachts are parked outside homes as canals run through the neighbourhood. We drive along Miracle Mile (shops for a mile) towards Little Havana. Here is the main Cuban district, with art decor and statues of roosters (the Cubans believe roosters are a good luck charm)! We get some excellent Cuban coffee and watch the men play the popular game of dominos in an outdoor arena.

Next is a drive around Miami and South beach, past the spot where Giovanni Versace was murdered.

After lunch we take a boat trip around Biscayne Bay and do a spot of star house spotting (some people included P Diddy, Al Capone, Julio Iglasias, Liz Taylor, Shaqeuille O'Neal, Gloria Estafan).

Afterwards we get some refreshments and take the bus down to South Beach Ocean drive and walk along the boardwalk.
