Some strange things we've noticed in Texas so far:
1. Buggies to push your dogs/cats around in......strange
2. To contain cockroaches, draw chalk around them - they are repelled by one of the ingredients and won't leave the circle!
3. Everything in Texas is BIG

Before we leave the hotel we have substantial difficulty communicating with American Airlines - they have not received copies of our tickets and aren't sure whether we've paid for them or not, thereby unwilling to change a flight for us!! When we get this sorted out, we head downtown to visit the 6th floor museum at Dealey Plaza - The Old School Book Depository. Here we do a "walkman" tour of JFK's life and murder, the question of whether Ozwald had an accomplice or if he was at all guilty is examined - we have differing views!

We then leave Dallas and drive northbound for Tulsa, Oklahoma, only getting off course when Ad takes over the driving for a while!

We arrive at Patti's house at about 6 and meet both Patti and her husband Steve and their numerous cats! - The beautiful Elizabeth, Speedy, Gayle, Scooter, Chad (outdoor cat) and others but unfortunately we can't remember all their names.

We go out for a drive of Tulsa and see the well maintained houses, each bigger than the next. Afterwards we go for an excellent Mexican meal of fajitas and Corona Extra. Back at the house we enjoy a pleasant evening, with mild shreiks from Ad over the incoming tornado (thankfully it avoids Tulsa) although the strong winds do knock a tree onto Steve's driveway and car - just about missing ours!!! Car company would love that!
