San Simeon to LA
Not a lot of big plans today. Pretty much we're just trying to get back to LA before the end of the day. We started off by hitting a general store right near where we were staying. We were looking for a place to grab lunch on the way out of town, but there's not a lot out here. However, Yelp had this general store listed as having some very high ratings on their sandwiches. So, we grabbed a couple. I'm not kidding, probably the best sandwiches we've had on the whole trip. They were so good. After that lots of driving down the coast. We still had to stop a few times to look at the coast, but we tried to be brief for Ethan's sake this time :-) We did find one thing that was worth checking out for a little longer though. There was a big dune along the coast before Malibu. When we drove past it we saw about 50 kids jumping, running, and rolling down it. So, we pulled over and gave it a try. I gotta admit, Adeana and I were winded going up. That was one steep hill, but Ethan went up and down it about 12 times without much effort, ahh to be young and full of energy :-) Good stuff though. After that we headed into Malibu and then on to Santa Monica. We grabbed some of the worst Mexican food I've had on the whole trip in Culver City and then proceeded to our hotel in Glendale. As a side note, there's lots of good Mexican food here too, but this is one where Yelp let us down.
