Day 29

Just one more day in Los Angeles to look at houses in a few different areas. We started off the day by going to grab some lunch at Philipes in downtown LA though. This is one of those places we had seen featured on Food Network. It was a really cool french dip place. It's obviously a pretty popular place because when we got there it was packed. So, we got ourselves some sandwiches and some awesome potato salad and settled in to our little corner of the place. The food was really good. Next we headed back to Culver City to check out the neighborhoods, some parks, and more of the downtown. This area is really appealing because it has easy access to a lot of places in LA, but you're still pretty close to the beach. We liked some of the other areas better, but the beach is a pretty hard thing to pass up. After that we headed down to Redondo Beach. Mosaic church holds a service there on Saturday, so we wanted to see that before we left town, but we got there a little area so we gave E one more chance to hit the beach, and he happily accepted :-) We didn't bother to take any pictures because we had about 20 times already. The beach there was really pretty though. Next we headed to the service. The service was very simple, maybe 140 people, but a very cool vibe. Everyone felt very authentic and people were very friendly before and after the service. Erwin McManus was there to speak, so we got to see him and get feel for who he is as well. We also met a few people in the business and I passed my name along to a documentary producer. By the end of the service it was getting late and we needed to hit the road, so we scooted out soon after. We drove until pretty late and called it a night about an hour outside Berkeley.
