Hey Gang,

We took a couple days off from the blog just to hang out and spend time with friends. On Friday we slept in and took it easy. We spent about half the day getting caught up with Justin and Krista Burdine. While we were hanging out Ethan got acquainted with Maren and Jesse Burdine. Larkin the newborn is sleeping, eating, and pooping like all good newborns. On Friday night we took our first trip down to Austin to check it out. First stop was by a church on the north side. We are pretty interested in this one and there is some pretty solid job potential here. We also think that might align pretty closely with Kensington's philoshophy, but it was Friday and there was nobody there, so after that it was time to get dinner. I've been dying to get some good BBQ. So, we went to a place called the Iron Works in downtown Austin. A really cool old place. They were cranking people in and out the whole time we were there. Great food, the brisket was so good! Next we drove around a bit to get a look at the town. Justin's dad told us to check out 6th street, so we did and it is very cool. Has a great vibe to it. The South by Southwest film fesitval is in town this weekend too, so there are a lot of people downtown. After that we wanted to grab some dessert, so we hit a local bakery just before closing time. The baked goods we picked up were very tasty, but the clerk proved to be the best part. He told us some areas and restrauarants to check out. That led us to South Congress, which is another very fun, filled with people area. It has been pretty rainy and cold the whole time we have been in Texas, which we know is not the norm, because every single person here tells us it's not. So, it was not a great night to explore, but our initial reaction was good. Need to get the job part figured out, but it seems like a pretty cool option so far. We'll be back on Sunday, so we'll see how it does after another look.

Saturday was pretty much another hang out with the Burdines day. I played Puerto Rico with the boys. Very fun board game. If you haven't heard of it, check it out. Adeana took a nap, made some phone calls, then we all went over to Justin's parents house for dinner. After that the guys went to go see Watchmen and the girls watched Mamma Mia. Not sure who had the better or worse time :-) Off to bed and an early rise tomorrow to go check out the church.
