At that restaurant, I also tried chicken feet and lotus flower and who knows what else!

Afterwards we walked to the subway station and took it for a while to a place near the bus station.  Then we walked to a bus station and rode it to a garden.  I thought the bus would fall apart with as much as it was rattling.  The garden was beautiful.  There was some Chinese style architecture, a pond/lake, lots of flowers and roses, and a little museum to walk around.  All of the water was filled with tons of huge goldfish.  Beibei's grandpa caught a few to take home to his tank.  We stayed there for a couple hours, then took the bus and subway home.  Walking around the city and riding the transportation showed me how much I was stared at.  The majority of people will look at me and many of them will keep staring.  Sometimes they will say hello in English to see if I'll respond.  There was a group of men on a corner with motorbikes to give people rides and they said hi as a I walked by.  I turned around and waved and they cheered.  I did it again and another cheer.  It was so funny.  When I passed another group in a similar situation, I turned around after I passed (they hadn't said anything) and they were still staring at me as I walked away.

That evening on the 28th we went to a restaurant on campus.  It was Beibei's grandma's birthday.  They ordered a bunch of stuff that was strange to me again.  I feel very awkward during meal times.  They want me to try tons of stuff.  Food is very important to them and they don't waste anything.  It's hard sometimes when they bring out the heads with the animals.

The next morning (29th) I had breakfast and then Jason (Beibei's uncle), Beibei, and I drove to White Cloud Mountain for a hike.  I think it totaled 7-8 kilometers.  It was fun.  Tons of steps and uphill climb though.  It was also the worst humidity I've ever experienced.  I was completely soaked from head to toe.  I wiped my face with a towel constantly.  Going to the gym has nothing on that hike as far as sweat goes!  I had an ice cream cone at the top so that was refreshing.  It was also a good view of the city except it was hazy like always.  On the way down the mountain, people were selling some things.  I got something similar to a hacky sack that tons of people were playing with.  It is more like a birdie used like a hackysack.

After the hike, we met up with Pastor San, Sineerat, and Beibei's grandpa at a western restaurant.  I was glad to go there cuz I had steak!

Then Jason, Beibei, and I went swimming after a brief stop at Jason's apartment.  Pastor San and Sineerat had a massage while we swam.  The pool was very big and went around several areas.  There weren't many people, maybe 20 guys.  Every one of them stared at me.  I wasn't sure what to do with them looking at me.  Beibei felt weird too because she was with me.  We swam for about 40 min and then rinsed off and left.

We went to a nearby restaurant for dinner.  Same ol'.  Then we went back home and were all very worn out.

Since yesterday, I've been experiencing squatter toilets.  I've probably used them 5 times in the past day.  I don't enjoy using them cuz I'm never sure how far to squat!  Oh well, ya do what you gotta do.

This morning we had breakfast, packed and left for Hainan.  Jason drove us to the Guangzhou airport and our flight left at 11:10 AM.  I am on the plane now.  We will visit Sineerat's family and stay in a hotel for 2 nights before returning to Guangzhou on June 1.  Short flight, about an hour.
