Where I stayed
Still in our cozy apartment

Seven years ago, I met this attractive woman outside the lab/office I was working in at UC Irvine. A homemade dinner and foot rub later, our first date was sealed with a kiss. We were both adventurers, travelers, foodies, and both were studying the human brain, albeit from different angles. Needless to say we have a lot in common, the rest is history, and the journey so far has been awesome.
Our relationship highlights up until this point have included exploring Kenya by minibus, safaris in Tanzania, reaching the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, dhow sailing in Zanzibar, hiking along the Zambezi, marveling at Victoria Falls, studying Spanish in Guatemala, diving in Belize, outrigger paddling with IMUA, getting engaged at Burning Man, our sunrise wedding on the island of Kauai, and tramping in New Zealand. Needless to say, we yearn for travel and have contemplated a round the world (RTW) trip early in our relationship.
Fast forward >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
It is FINALLY happening and we are both as giddy as school children in a chocolate factory. The experience so far is similar to wedding planning except instead of enjoying one day, we have months of adventure to plan and look forward to. ... and it costs a bit more than our rather simple but amazing wedding. As it stands so far we will be able to travel for eight months seeing North America (road trip!), Central and South America, Southern Africa, India, Nepal, South East Asia, Indonesia, and the South Pacific.
Please join us as we gallivant across the globe on what we hope will be a very memorable and exciting trip.

Dear Adar and Jeremy, But you ARE taking us with you! I hiked Kalalau Tral in 2006. What an unforgettable place -- the 'real Hawaii' I wanted to see. Let me know when you will be in Durban, South Africa so I an intro you to Simon and Dana Cordial. Travel safely and enjoy all that you will become on this special journey. All my best and hugs, Nardi
A foot rub on a first date? Wow.
