Day 1 - Third Beach
Had a couple of hours to kill before the bus showed up and managed to find a power plug on the outside of the general store so put a bit of charge into my laptop. Short 1hr hike out to the beach where I set up camp on the beach sand. Once again walking through old growth forest. Wander around the beach for a bit but couldnt really go any further since I needed the tide to be less than 4ft in order to walk along a couple of the parts of the beach.

Must say had a nice view of the sea and some of the sea stacks in the distance.

Day 2 - Toleak Beach
Weather turned cloudy but thankfully no rain. Ended up string early since there were a couple of places along the beach that were only crossable when thr tide was below a cetain level.

Started the day with a 1hr walk across the top of a head land before following the beach for the rest of the way to the next camp ground. Lots of nice sea stacks out in the bay. Pity about the weather though since it would of been nice to get some sunny photos of them.

Always slower going walking along the sand. Loose lots of energy since the sand gives way under foot.

Had no trouble getting past the first max 4ft tide crossing part and since the tide was less than a foot decided to also go over the rocks instead of crossing the headland at the second low tide crossing point. Lots of star fish and green sponge like balls that became green spiky balls when covered by water. Had to take it slowly since the seaweed on the rocks made them especially slippery. Also lucky the tide hadnt been any higher since the rocks I crossed at the end of the cliff edge circumnavigation had the waves coming in over the top and caused my boots to get wet when I was stepping on a couple of the rocks. Definately wouldnt want to try the crossing half an hour later.

From there continued following the beach looking at the sea stacks and the starfish in the rocks off the coast. Also saw some canine and racoon tracks on the beach but not the animals that made them.

By the time I got to Tolek point it was just after lunch. Had thought of exploring further down the coast but had already passed by all the interesting sea stacks so decided against it. Ended up collecting some fire wood and crashing out for a bit. When I woke up the tide was again on the way out so decided to go out and explore the rock pools. Once again saw lots of star fish and the spiky green things around in the rock pools. Also saw some hermit crabs and other small animals in the rock pools.

Spent the night sitting by a fire for a couple of hours.

Day 3 - Third Beach
Didnt start as early this morning but once again made my way back along the beach to third beach. On this day though decided to go over the headland rather than around the cliff since the tide was not out by as much by the time I had reached the cliff. Steep climb up and steep climb down but ended up walking through some nice forest reagion.

Still a bit cloudy today but definately clearing as the day continued.

Did some reading at third beach and when I went for a short walk saw a deer and it fawn drinking from the nearby stream.

Once again had a fire that night and when looking at the sky didnt see as many stars as I would of expected. Guess its the light polution from the moon being up.

Day 4 - Exit Third Beach
Had to get up early and hike out to the road in order to get the first bus back to forks so that I could make the transfer and get to Port Angeles in time for the bus to seattle. Found a small market near the bus stop in Port angeles so killed some time wandering around waiting for the bus.
